R&L's patented BeadTrimmer tooling is designed to remove the interior fusion bead in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) fused pipe only. The BeadTrimmer product line offer two model designs that total thirteen (13) different head sizes, each corresponding with a common nominal pipe size (ranging from 3" to 24").

BT3 BeadTrimmer
Designed to remove the internal bead in medium to large diameter pipe, the BT3 series consists of nine (9) different head sizes (PN#: BT3-08, BT3-10, BT3-12, BT3-14, BT3-16, BT3-18, BT3-20, BT3-22, BT3-24), each designed to remove the interior fusion bead in corresponding nominal pipe sizes (8", 10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 22", 24").

BT3 models feature a Tri-Cam Adjustment Plate, (3) Finger Hooks, (3) Trucks, (3) Index Wheels, and utilizes a housed Hook Release to engage the Slide Bar and Cutter.
ML Series BeadTrimmer
Twenty two Carbide Cutters revolving at 2,000 RPMs provide the bite for our big dog, the Mega-Large BeadTrimmer™ (MLBT).
This pneumatic, large-diameter pipe de-beading tool is the first in the industry and can remove the internal fusion bead of diameters ranging from 18" to 52" ID.
MLBT-30, MLBT-36, MLBT-54
The ML series consists of three (3) different head sizes (MLBT-30, MLBT-36, MLBT-54), each designed to remove the interior fusion bead in corresponding nominal pipe sizes (30", 36", 54").

MLBT-30 BeadTrimmer removes internal bead in 24" to 28" ID pipe.

MLBT-36 BeadTrimmer removes internal bead in 28" to 36" ID pipe.

MLBT-54 BeadTrimmer removes internal bead in 36" to 52" ID pipe.

ML Unit Includes
The Mega-Large BeadTrimmer requires compressed air for operation, supplied by the user. Minimum air requirements are 82 CFM @ 100 PSI. Unit includes MLBT head with shipping crate, Operator Control Box, 60' (18.3m) Wiper Rod Set, and 51' (15.5m) Handle Package.

Universal External BeadTrimmer
Exactly what it sounds like, the Universal External BeadTrimmer (UEBT) will remove the external fusion bead on HDPE pipe diameters from 12" to 65", and larger. The UEBT is a pneumatic tool and requires an air compressor (not included) to power the reciprocating steel chisel. It is the most effective way to remove the exterior bead in HDPE fused pipe – of almost any size.

Handle Packages are compatible with all internal BeadTrimmer models and head sizes, including our ML series. Each Handle Package includes Anodized Aluminum Torque Tubes (number and length depend on package), Torque Tube Unions and Locking Pins, Cross Head, and shipping/storage container.
